Letter from Chief of Operations Jimmy Banish:
Fall is finally here in Michigan with the foliage change and temperatures starting to dip. We can feel winter coming here in Michigan but we’re making an effort to be present and enjoy this calm before the holiday season. Over the last 2 months, it has been great to hear from a lot of our TBF Community members for the first time in months. This past year has been challenging for all but with patience and perseverance, it would appear we are all finding a way to make it through these interesting times.

Complimentary Bags for Fiber
As of this post (10/8/2020), we are currently out of stock on our best-selling 8″ and 16″ fiber packs. These have been a great “contactless” kit builder for many customers so our demand outperformed our supply for a brief moment. Fiber Packs will be back in stock on October 27th but we have provided a complimentary bag option for 2″ and Recycled Fiber boxes online should you like bags to prepare your fiber in. Each box selected will include 50 qty plastic bags for filling fiber and providing it to your customers. Please add the designated product page with the Plastic Bag option to your cart to take advantage of this offer. We will discontinue this once we are back-stocked with our fiber packs at the end of the month.
New #PlushforthePlanet Plushies
The response to our recycled plush line this year has been tremendous. Thank you for all of your support and enthusiasm as we have been working towards this release for over two years. We are proud to announce by the end of the year, over 10% of our plush line will consist of Recycled Buddies with 13 bears and buddies in total. Our goal is to increase this to 25% by 2021. Be sure to keep a lookout for these items on the website and on our Instagram page.
Mission Sustainability 2021
As we look towards 2021 we have made some operational moves to clean up our environmental footprint worldwide. Our particular focus is on reducing our plastic use in our packaging. As of September this year, we have already begun transitioning all of our plush box liners to a biodegradable material made of corn starch along with removing the use of our plastic hangers for our clothing. All new runs of clothing will include a high-quality cardboard hanger made of recycled paper. Our goal by 2022 is to reduce our plastic packaging use by 75+% and by 90+% come 2023. This is an ambitious goal but we are motivated and primed to make it happen.
Hours of Operation and Shipping
Please be aware that we are still operating under revised hours currently. We are open Monday – Thursday from 10a – 4p EST. We are doing our best to ship out orders the same day but still guarantee all orders will meet our 24-hour timeline. This means that all orders will ship within 1 Business day of being received that we are open.
