What is It?

This day is designated to hold thousands of cleanups around the world. The mission is to live in a waste-free world, have a clean environment, and preserve/protect our planet.

Who is involved?

The Great Global Cleanup® is a worldwide campaign to remove billions of pieces of trash from neighborhoods, beaches, rivers, lakes, trails, and parks — reducing waste and plastic pollution, improving habitats, and preventing harm to wildlife and humans. (worldcleanupday.org)

Last year, 60 million people volunteered to this cause and collected 303k of waste.
